FAQs
Frequently asked questions we've received for cold-weather ultra running equipment.
How warm do I need my clothes to be?
Everyone is different in the way they feel the cold. The most important element is making sure you minimise exposed skin wearing good quality clothing and while running limit sweating so your clothes don't freeze.
Do I need previous cold weather experience?
Not at all - this event is ideal for first-timers and intermediate runners. The experienced team will assist you through the event and will be on hand prior to the race starting to answer any quesitons you may have.
How cold does it get and is it safe?
Winter in northern Sweden brings extreme cold, from –10°C to –25°C. Temperatures and conditions vary hugely and we can't predict how the race period will pan out.
